“Azulejo” Apron

25,00

With everyday life in mind, we created an apron inspired by the Biscainhos Museum’s collection of tiles. An accessory to have in your kitchen at all times.

Inspired by:

Scenes of gallantry in gardens and landscapes, scenes of hunting and everyday life. Attributed to P.M.P (?) (author), 1700 – 1725 (Grand Hall)

The Azulejo tile panels that inspire this bag cover the walls of the Grand Hall of the Biscainhos Museum, once a space of opulence and festivity, a masterpiece of the Baroque in Portuguese civil architecture.  Dating from the early 18th century, they illustrate scenes from the daily life of the nobility, such as scenes of gallantry, strolls and hunts.

The fauna in these panels serves as inspiration for this apron.
